Hey everyone, just wanted to let all you Pop'n Music players (or DDR/music fans) know that I will be bringing a Pop'n Music 14 arcade cabinet for the con. It's an awesome machine with over 500 songs on it. You can play either 5 button or 9 button with 3 levels of difficulty on most songs.

You'll find tons of familiar songs if you've played other Bemani games such as DDR, Beatmania, Drum Mania, Guitar Freaks, Keyboard Mania, etc. There are even exclusive songs to this arcade mix, such as a Super Mario Bros. theme, which is totally awesome (see Youtube clip) and tons of anime related songs as well.

Beginners and Pros welcome. There's even a 3 button verses mode and a course option similar to Challenge mode on DDR. Here's a Youtube search for the exact game with no shortage of videos to choose from. Enjoy!

And the good just keeps getting better.

The arcade gaming has grown from Pop'n Music 14 to now include:

Drummania 10th Mix

Keyboardmania 2nd Mix

The games will be located just outside the vendor room and console gaming room. Allowing for lots of space and entertainment for all that pass by. It will be quite the spectacle!

Any way we can get a Ju-Beat Machine for next year? I would spend my children's inheritance...

Hmmmm, I don't know that they're available in the US yet, If anyone would have one, Peter would.

Would there be a way for us to rent one? Peter, do you have the hookups?

I actually don't know if any are in America right now. According to one of the bigger distributors in America Ubeat (The US name for it), is shipping this year, but doesn't supply a date. I could find a used Jubeat in Japan for sale but the price wasn't listed, which means they don't have a machine for sale or will find one and then quote you a price.

Personally I'm not very impressed with the game but I guess you have to play it first to find out if it's even worth it or not. There are very limited videos of it even on Youtube and not much info that I could find about the game in general, other than it's a touch screen and you have a very limited song selection. A newer cabinet and mix is due in America, but other than that, I'm at a loss.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

On the plus side though, we just picked up a really sweet DDR Extreme machine :D
