There doesn't appear to be an appropriate section for this...so here goes.

After many weeks of homework, lab reports and general procrastination I've finally finished updating the amv form and rules.

The AMKE AMV Contest is open for submissions!

This is your chance to be on the not-quite-as-big-as-the-big-screen screen (seriously though the screen is 15 feet tall, and the speakers are big...and loud)

Send me your creations spawned from sheer boredom
Send me your masterpieces carved from the fiery essence of your artistic soul
Send me your pizza, used bike chains and cardboard boxes (so long as they have an AMV attached to them)

rules can be found on this page (and the submission form is linked to from the rules)

Deadline is Feb 6, 2009

AMV Contest submission is closed (it actually closed a few days ago...but yeah, homework)

We have 31 or 32 qualified submissions (unfortunately there were a few that didn't meet the a/v quality standard, still waiting on one mail-in submission)

Drama/Romance is a big category this year

With a little luck we won't run into the same technical difficulties as last year, and I hope to see a lot of people there (there's some good stuff again this year)
